Subscription Renewal

I just "renewed" my Total Security 2008 for which I have been receiving emails and popups for weeks


now telling me that I had better renew asap.


I got tired of seeing it, so even though I still had a week left on TS08, I assumed that the week would


carry over to my new subscription. Not So.


The so called renewal process actually led me to an upgrade to TS 2009, and now on my account page


I have a week showing on my TS 08 subscription and a year left on my TS 09 subscription.


I looked all through the website for clarification on this process before buying and found nothing. The Bitdefender


website, overall, is terrible.


But I find the fact that their software hounded me to renew my subscription early and then gave me essentially


2 subscriptions ( who would ever need 2?? ), wasting a week of a subscription, is just underhanded


trickery on their part.


I would recommend just letting your subscription expire, but of course you have to put up with all the


annoying reminders.

  • Update: Contacted by Bitdefender today who said that they would extend my subscription for 1 week.


    Good customer service, but the process of upgrading / renewing should be addressed
