Virus from an Ethernet adapter?
Hello everybody. Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.
So today I was using a new iPhone Ethernet adapter plugged into a network switch that my windows laptop was also plugged into. Shortly after something appeared along taskbar of the laptop and then the screen started flashing. It was unresponsive so I turned it off with the power button. When I booted it back up I ran a security scan that came back clean and things now seem normal. But is there any reasonable chance that the computer could have received a virus, malware, etc. from the iPhone adapter over Ethernet? Also, is there any way of being totally certain there is no infection?
I appreciate any thoughts or wisdom. Thanks in advance!
