VPN crashing when attempting to turn on

Hello @PEQR and welcome to the Bitdefender Community.
There are a few general causes for connection errors encountered by Bitdefender VPN. You may check the following article for troubleshooting steps: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/11311/
If the issue still persists afterwards, I would recommend contacting the Technical Support Teams, as more information might be required to find the root cause. You can get in touch with our engineers by choosing one of the contact methods available here:

As a quick fix, since you have a Total Security solution, you can use Safepay, a dedicated browser that secures your transactions to prevent fraud. Bitdefender Safepay can now also automatically fill out credit card details in billing fields. You can find more information regarding Safepay at the link below:

I hope this helps.
Stay safe.

Hello there, the link you provided (1st one) didn't take me to the site that has the article you suggested to try. I also have Safepay on my desktop but the website that I use to make the transaction I need to make doesn't allow it to go through as it can't identify where the payment is coming from

Hi,
I'll post the link again: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/11311/
The article is called "Fix VPN errors" and if the link does not take you there directly, you can type the keywords in the search field located here: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/
If the article is still not displayed, try to copy and paste the link using an incognito window.
In the event everything else fails, the best option would be for our engineers to have a closer look and you can reach our Technical Team by choosing one of the available contact channels in the link above.
