Is there a VPN notification on Android or a widget?

I just installed the VPN on Android. Is there any way to intercept a Bitdefender VPN notification on Android? I like to be able to set up a home screen notification to let me know the VPN is active so I don't forget.

I don't know how to set up a notification, however on my Samsung tablet I have a key icon that appears in the upper right corner that shows when VPN is active

Yes I also have a key mark so the phone must know there is a VPN connected, I just want to try and intercept that to use the notification to alert me on my homescreen

I also have a key mark, so the phone must be aware that a VPN is connected.
