Login / Authentication Hell Loop
Hi, yesterday, i moved from BD Wallet up to the new BD Password Manager and after it was done, i got stuck in an nightmarish authentication loop :
1) All my passwords are stored in the new BD Password Manager.
2) The new BD Password Manager browser extension is installed and working fine.
3) I click on the extension and it asks me to Sign in to my main BD account.
4) I enter the correct information to Sign in and it is accepted.
5) But for some reason, it wants to validate my identity (2-step verification).
6) It sends a verification mail to my valid email adress.
7) To get into my valid email adress, i need that password.
8) That password is stored in my new BD Password Manager.
9) Goto step 1).
So i dont have access to any of my passwords anymore. No Bank No Amazon Nothing

Hello @shopping159753,
Are you refering to your password for the e-mail address associated with Central?
Are you required to validate your account using 2 Factor Authentication by any chance?
The password should be available in the previous Wallet.
If you cannot retrieve it, you can reset it or disable login at startup.

I'm having issues with the 2 step verification also. If I'm at my PC, a code sent via email isn't too bad. But when I try to open anything bitdefender on my android phone, like the password manager, an email verification is a pain. Look, I'm old and multitasking with my phone is not going to happen. A code sent via text I can handle. Better yet, in this reply sent 1/22 by Alexander_BD he says it can be disabled at start up. I find this very confusing as, please first state the platform your starting at (android PC??) then what piece of the bitdefender puzzle (Central, password manager, bitdefender anti-virus). I have all three applications on my PC and android. So step by step instruction would be helpful. So instruction like "starting on your PC, open bitfender X, when you open X go to…you get it. Just a side comment. Bitdefender Central is a down right mess. Threats blocked?? bunch of ads?? A pinball machine is less distracting.

Hello @NJ_Guy,
If you are referring to the 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) for your Bitdefender Central account, check if this article helps:
If you don’t want to enter a 2-Factor Authentication code every time you sign in to your Bitdefender Central account, you can mark your device as trusted. Detailed steps are available in the attached link.
I hope this helps. If something is unclear, let us know.
