Shredding files folders

Hi

I have Bitdefender family now I have noticed when using birdfeeder shredder it does actually shred any files or folder. How do I know that ? well I was finished with some word docs from my employer and and shredded them with bdf but my daughter also shredded some photos unintentionally. I said well you will not get them back so she downloaded a data recovery software and to my astonishment nothing had been shred no photos no word docs and old movies that had been downloaded.

I have a ssd samsung 980 pro that I use trim enabled so any idea why is BDf not shredding any files any help please

    I believe this is a scenario where some logs may be required.
