Why are there no answers?

In the Community, there are a range of discussion types that can be created, with five potential options, depending on the addons enabled:

• Discussion
• Ideas
• Polls
• Questions
• Events

For the Questions and Answers discussion type, whenever a user asks a question, other community members are invited to answer that question.

Questions remain in an “Unanswered” queue until the question has received at least one response. For each response they receive, the person who asked the question will be prompted to either accept or reject the answer that is given. (Admins and Mods can also reject/accept answers). 

If all of the answers to a question have been rejected, the question will return to the "Unanswered" queue.

Also, even if an answer was given, but it did not receive a "yes" or "no" reaction, the thread will still be displayed as unanswered, even though they contain comments.

It is true, however, that unaswered threads exist as well in the forum. Most of them pilled up during a transition period from the old forum to the new Community, when moderation was not carried as expected.

As an admin, I'm doing my best to respond in good time and help fellow members, but being a Community I also encourage all members to participate and share their knowledge and expertise with fellow peers. We have close to 160k members in this Community and membership continues to grow, thus sometimes it can be difficult to engage with everyone, but as i've said, as an admin on this forum, I am doing my very best to moderate, respond, listen to our members suggestions and ideas and ensure everyone has a good time here.
