A search here shows a number of very old discussions about this subject but apparently nothing related to current software
My firewall seems to be brain dead & will not permit any interaction. The'rule' title is ambiguous. It is unclear if it means allowed or not allowed.

Does the firewall switch appear enabled or disabled? Can you toggle it? Are you using Windows 7 by any chance?
