Feature requests 2022 Q1

Some feature requests:

1) Make the System Tray Icon Green when everything is good. Change it to red when there is an issue. That little symbol is too hard to see.

2) Under utilities it would be nice to see connections, connected apps and country

3) Save / Restore Configuration

Thank you so much for sharing you thoughts in the ideation category. Your valuable feedback is highly appreciated.

In regards to the first feature, apart from the systray icon, the developers brought back the Widget, at the user's requests. The Security Widget allows you to have an overview of your Bitdefender Product without opening the product’s interface. This way, the visibility of the product's status is increased and this feature can be pinned anywhere on your desktop.

Besides seeing the product’s security status and have quick access to the main interface or to product notifications, the Security Widget will:

• monitor the scan activity in real-time and display a resource usage graph;

• display a specific state when your product performs different operations such as scanning, performing updates, or running optimization tasks;

• allow you to drag & drop files or folders in order to scan them.

 

By default, the Security Widget is disabled but can be enabled from:

• product’s interface → Settings → General → Security Widget

• Bitdefender’s system tray menu

For points 2 and 3, I will forward your second suggestion to our developers for further analysis, as the third feature request has already been submitted to the product teams.
