Family & Loved photos hacked and deleted.

Hello.

Neither my phone or windows pc had any additional security installed.

I recently accidentally clicked an email within my phones spam folder.

Days after i noticed odd things happening on my phone so I immediately started to transfer photos from my phone memory to the internal SD card. I noticed that as fast as i was transferring them they were becoming corrupt or deleted.

Knowing how much personal information, pictures and passwords were on the phone i turned it off, removed the SD and sim card, restarted in safe mode and reset the phone, accepting everything on there would be lost (if not already stolen).

I've since purchased BitDefender Total and installed it on my phone and PC, both scanned as OK. Using an SD adaptor i've scanned the affected card which scanned as OK. Remining on the card were the various grouped folders that contained photos (including hidden files/photos). All were empty bar one which contained appx 30 pics. However 3/4 were corrupt and wouldn't open.

As my folders remain visable I wonder if the deleted/removed files could be recovered using specialist software and if so could people recommend.

Given the fact this happened on a mobile phone, there aren't really many options to tackle the issue. However, you may contact our Technical Teams and provide our engineers with samples of the corrupt files for further investigation.
