Thank you for your understanding.

Adding an 'old' device back into my subscription

In the past whenever I removed a device from my subscription or there was no longer a licence available, I would have to do a manual uninstall of Bitdefender and reinstall it locally on the device. Is this still the case or is there an easier way?

I have just purchased an extra five 'Total Security' licences and want to re-add a machine (Win10) I removed. Bitdefender is still on the device and has the original account details.

I have added the code in central however I see no way of re-enabling devices without a licence or adding the Win10 device I 'deleted'.

Grateful for your help and advice - Thanks

  • Hello.

    -- STEP 1 --

First, log out from your Bitdefender Central account.

Next, on the "old" device with Bitdefender installed, open the Bitdefender program and do this:

In the next dialog boxes enter your e-mail and password that you used for your Bitdefender account and subscription and click on "Sign in".

    You are done.

Wait a few seconds and sign in back to your Bitdefender Central account.

Now, in Bitdefender Central, you will have displayed the "old" device with valid subscription.

    -- STEP 2 --

If the instructions from Step 1 didn't help, you need to reallocate the "old" device to the new Bitdefender subscription, by following these steps:

    -- STEP 3 --

Finally, if that also didn't help, you should contact Bitdefender Consumer Support:

because ONLY THEY can have access to your Bitdefender Central account and your activation code.
