Update frequency keeps resetting to 8 hours

Googling, I can see this is a problem that has been going on for years.

I change my update frequency to 1 hour, and then when I check again in a day or so, it's back to the default 8 hours again. Rinse and repeat, again and again and again.

So come on folks, this is getting ****ing tiresome. PLEASE fix it so that your customers' preferences actually stick. Or remove the setting altogether. But to offer the ability to vary the update frequency and then to keep changing it back? That's rubbish.

Did you confirm if you have Work or Movie Profile enabled, Utilities/Profiles, as it will automatically switch the update frequency to 8 hours. In fact, if you have it set to Game Profile, it changes it to 12 hours.
