I wonder if someone in this community can help me. I purchased bitdefender last month, and wasn't able to make it work on my macbook air, and it didn't do well on my iphone13. I spent hours trying to make it work and finally decided to cancel my free trial subscription. I uninstalled everything without that I ever used it once, except for an imcomplete scan on my phone. Since then i have written at least 10 emails asking for a cancellation of the free trial, finally today I got a long answer explaining to me that I should keep it.

I feel it's a kafkaesque labyrinth. Anyone can offer me help to get out of it. Please don't give me advice how to reinstall etc.

    I apologize for maybe not tracking with what you're saying, as a Trial version of Bitdefender is just that, a trial without purchasing it. You do need to provide an email address to set up your Cental account, but that should be it. That's probably why they told you to "keep it" until the trial runs out, in some cases 90 days later?

    Did you buy anything with a CC?

  • thank you so much, dear Scott. Yes, I gave a credit card. All trial versions ask for a credit card, and say that you can cancel before the trail is over. But I don't seem to be able to cancel, I just get emails that tell me to keep it.

    I am the only person who ever went through that ?

    Hello @nighmares and welcome to the Community!

    After checking your account, I have noticed that you currently have a Total Security license valid until 2023/08/21. You have purchased the license from the official Bitdefender website and currentlu I can see that it covers one iOS device. In the event Bitdefender still displays a trial version on some of your devices, try to switch the account in product, to synchronize it with the active license from your Central account. You can find the instructions in the article below. Simply apply the relevant steps according to your operating system and re-enter the e-mail address associated with the Central account where the license has been activated, when logging in:

    This should normally sync Bitdefender with Central, when applied on all devices that you wish to protect.

    NOTE: the above instructions apply only in the event you wish to keep the product. Should you wish to move forward with your refund request, kindly check the response sent by the Commercial representatives to you.
