Java Update Fails When Http Filter Is On

When i wanted to update manually Java ,from its panel ,from Windows Control Panel, the update failed with "Error 1101:Error reading from file ... ".After some investigation discovered that not my firewall or the conection ware guilty ,but the http filter from BD 2008.
Disableing http filter did the trick.
Has anyone else observed this?
