    Hi Alexandru_BD

My wife misplaced her phone a few days ago (Samsung Galaxy android) and it was a real scare. We hadn't previously thought about what to do in such a situation and were at a bit of a loss.

Is there a similar article for android devices? What steps to take to try to find a phone? What steps to take if you've confirmed a phone has been stolen and not misplaced?

(Ps. we found Michelle's phone but it had fallen into water - consequently we bought a new phone. Luckily the old sim card once dried out worked fine in the new device)

  • Hi @AustralianHarvey,

Since Gjoksi and Flexx already provided a response here, I'll just drop by to say that I'm glad to hear the device was found and the sim card could be further used. I think we all know that losing a smartphone can evoke a range of emotions and reactions due to its significant role in our daily lives.

I think the best practices to reduce the risk of losing a smartphone and mitigate the impact if it does happen, are to backup your data regularly to cloud services and enable tracking services, along with a strong PIN or biometric lock (fingerprint or facial recognition) to protect your phone from unauthorized access.

Accidents can happen and when they do, being prepared will make all the difference.

    Regards,
