Can I Set Affinity Of Bitdefender Processes On E-Cores?

Dear support manager,

I am running finite element analysis models on an Intel 12th generation processor and I want to make sure that P-cores are allocated to the solver.

Is there any problem if I set affinity of Bitdefender processes on E-cores? Do this cores have enough power to run Bitdefender effectively.

Kind regards,

Nicolae.

  • Hello.

    Here are my current specs:

    Laptop: Asus X551CA

    Purchased: April 2014

    Specs: Intel Core i3-3217U 1.8GHz, Intel HD Graphics 4000, 4GB DDR3

    Hardware change: November 2018, 500GB HDD -> 120GB SATA-III SSD

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit with the latest updates installed

I'm a Bitdefender Total Security user since 2017.

Since then, Bitdefender never had any impact on the performance of my laptop.

    Regards.

  • Hello @Nicolae Pascariu and welcome to the Community!

I am not sure I understand the request correctly, but here are the minimum system requirements for Bitdefender:

Operating System: Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Windows 11

    Memory (RAM): 2 GB

Available free hard disk space: 2.5 GB free space

Note: System performance may be affected on devices that have old generation CPUs
