Hi there,
I have another month left on my Total Security package and am interested in a special offer to renew with a Premium Security pakage. How can I transfer the remaining month or so left on the old package when buying the new Premium one without losing the time left?

Hello @lehavre_user,
When using an activation code for Premium Security, you will only be given the option to activate the subscription in parallel in this scenario. Although Premium Security is based on Total Security, this is a bundle that contains other services such as Password Manager and Premium VPN, thus it won't be possible to extend the ongoing Total Security subscription using this code.
However, if you have any remaining validity on Total Security, after activating Premium Security you can ask the Support representatives to remove Total Security completely from your Central account and add the remaining month to Premium Security. This is what I would do.

@Gjoksi "Didn't notice that the OP actually wants to upgrade from Total Security to Premium, which is possible only via contacting the Bitdefender Support Team." - A subscription upgrade is of course possible without contacting the Support teams, as you can simply activate the new code in Central and whenever the previous license expires, the protected devices will be automatically assigned to the next active subscription that can protect them. It's a seamless process, really.
However, in the event there is still some remaining validity on the previous license and a new, different one is activated, the two subscriptions/licenses will run in parallel until one of them expires, so this is really the only scenario where it will be necessary for the Support representatives to make some adjustments, so that the licenses don't overlap. This way, you can avoid any loss of validity.
Let's say, for example, that a customer still has 4 months remaining on this TS license and receives a good discount to upgrade to Premium Security. If they decide to upgrade, they can't wait until the TS expires, because the validity countdown of the Premium Security activation code will start from the moment of purchase. So, if they activate the code 4 months later, when TS expires, they would have lost 4 months from the upgraded subscription lifetime. If they activate straight after the purchase, since TS and PS are different licenses, they won't extend each other and will run in parallel until one (TS) expires. But in this scenario, validity is also being lost, since if the devices are left protected by the TS, the PS will run empty and if the devices are transferred to PS, the TS will run empty until its expiration date (4 months in the given example).
So, the only way to avoid this overlap would be to add the remaining validity of the previous license (or at least some of it) to the new one, whenever possible.
