Replacement hard drive
I have 3 PCs. One failed and I have fitted a new hard drive. It seems to work OK. All three were protected by Bitdefender but the one on which I have fitted the new hard drive is not seen. How can I remove Bitdefender from the old machine? Note I cannot do it from the the old machine because the old machine does not see it. I will then put Bitdefender on to the machine which has the new hard drive.

Have you tried going into your Bitdefender Central Account, My Devices, then chose the one from that PC (View Details) then at the top right, click on Remove. After it's removed, go to My Subscriptions on the left side, choose your version of Bitdefender, and click on the blue, Install protection on new device, and in the pop-up window, Install Bitdefender Security on this device.
Let us know if that worked. It should not take an additional slot away from your subscription, as it is the same PC, and Bitdefender should read that hardware, or PC addresses as the same PC .
