Bitdefender Antivirus Free (2023) / Exclusion not working

Hi,

Can somebody please help because Bitdefender is driving me nuts !?

I have noticed that the exclusion does not work in Bitdefender Antivirus Free v27.0.23.112

I already configurate Bitdefender to exclude a folder and whole disk from scanning and incoming downloads from certain software but Bitdefender still see it as a threat however I'm 100% sure it's a false positive.

Anyway, this is how I configure an exclusion:

Protection -> Antivirus -> Settings -> Manage Exceptions

There is also an Advanced Threat Defense where you can managed exception, I have tested it but this also won't work.

Is this a bug or did I do something wrong ?

I hope you guys have some awnsers for me as I really like Bitdefender and would like to continue with this antivirus.

Hi @Geert Pirens

Even though the below is for the paid version, Total Security, see if these steps help enforce the Exceptions. Shutting down all the modules that apply in step #1 (which may not be very many, as the free version does not include, are not enabled, all of the modules shown below)

So all these must be enabled:

On-access scan
On-demand scan
Embedded scripts

But what about those options below?

Online Threat Prevention (mine is OFF)

Advance Threat Defense (mine is OFF)

Yes, both of those should be enabled, if you can with the free version.
