Hello @P R M and welcome to the Community!

In addition to Gjoksi's insightful information above, for future reference you can check this article for more context on Bitdefender subscription/license activation:

Your Bitdefender subscription starts as soon as you make the purchase. The countdown begins immediately after you buy the code from our online store at www.bitdefender.com, even if you haven’t redeemed it in your Bitdefender Central account yet. So, the subscription starts on the day you place the order, not on the day you activate the code in Bitdefender Central. This however doesn't apply for licenses purchased from a reseller or Bitdefender Partner and you can activate them anytime without the code loosing any validity.

Keep in mind that Bitdefender codes only need to be activated once and may only be activated in one Bitdefender Central account. Once the subscription is active, the activation code is no longer needed in the (re)installation process, as all installations are managed directly from your Bitdefender Central account.

Another important thing to note during the activation process is that the option to extend the validity of the current subscription/license is only available if one of your current subscriptions is identical to the new one you are trying to add. This means that it must have the same name and number of slots. For instance, a Premium Security subscription cannot be extended using an activation code for Total Security.

Based on my findings, you currently have two Total Security products overlapping in your Central account, a license due to expire in 3 days and a subscription valid until October 2024. This means that, once the previous license expires in a few days, the devices protected by it will be automatically allocated to your new subscription, and no further actions are required from you. Basically, during activation you have chosen to add a new subscription instead of extending the current one and this was possible, since both licenses have the same number of slots available for protection.

I hope the information is helpful.

    Regards,
