I noticed something today?

A search did not give me a real answer, so I am sorry to ask here, but it is a bit odd in my opinion.

I re-installed Bitdefender TS a day or two ago, after my licence was renewed. (On my new Desktop.)

But just now I noticed that on my Windows 11 Pro 64 bits desktop, Bitdefender TS shows 32 bits processes in task management. Why not the 64 bits version, should the installer not have noticed that my system is 64 bits? Or is there no longer a 64 bits version?

These are support services, intended to run on both 32 and 64 bit platforms. Probably as 32-bit is less and less prevalent, they will probably be redeployed as 64-bit (while 32-bit will remain as legacy).

For example, ProductAgentService.exe is installed by the Bitdefender Agent, which has to run on both platforms. Same for DiscoverySrv.exe (installation discovery) and Redline (support for installation).

If you look in services, also Microsoft uses such 32-bit services (IpOverUsbSvc, for example).

    Hello.

    My specs:

OS Windows 10 Pro 22H2 x64 With Latest Windows Updates Installed

    Installed On 18.01.2023

    OS Build 19045.3930

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19053.1000.0

    BD Total Security 27.0.25.116

    BD Total Security destination folders:

    C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender Security

    C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender Security App

This means that the installed Bitdefender program is 64-bit.

But, i also noticed that there are 3 (three) 32-bit Bitdefender processes:

All other Bitdefender processes are 64-bit.

    Regards.

@camarie @Alexandru_BD Any explanation for this? Thanks.
