online radio buffering issues

Options

since installing Bitdefender the two regular radio stations I listen to on the net whilst working, start buffering almost immediately and I have to seek an alternative source to play the radio eg. mobile phone - I prefer playing the radio stations through the PC as I have decent speakers - I have tried Firefox, Opera and IE browsers for the same result. is there a setting on BF that I need to tweak or other workaround. thanks in advance

Hello @Kyneton and thanks for joining us here.

Are you also using a VPN connection when this happens? If yes, switch it off and see if the radio stations are still buffering. If not, bring up Bitdefender and temporarily disable the Online Threat Prevention security module and check if the issue goes away. if it does, add an exclusion for the urls by following the steps below:

While OTP is not technically blocking the URLs in this case, it might have something to do with the behavior. I can't guarantee this will fix it, and if it doesn't make a difference, I think it's best to reach out to the Support teams for a more in-depth investigation. If necessary, you can contact them using the link below:

Another thing to check would be the network speed.
