Updates deleting custom scans

Something odd is happening with my Bitdefender Antivirus Plus updates.

On Feb 19, 2024, the app updated itself, a pop-up appeared telling me that that Bitdefender had finished updating. I later noticed that my custom scans had been deleted and had to create them again.

Today, Feb 20, 2024, same thing happened. Bitdefender updated itself (same as yesterday, with a pop-up stating the update had finished and Bitdefender was now running the latest version). Again my custom scans were gone.

I checked the version number of my Bitdefender installation: 27.0.30.136

Then I checked the latest version here: www[dot]bitdefender[dot]com/consumer/support/answer/32196/

That page states the latest version is 27.0.27.130.

I have two questions

1) Why are my custom scans being deleted?

2) Why do I have a build number greater than the latest version?

Any help is much appreciated

    I too have the exact same issue on both my laptop and desktop. Both of my custom weekly scans got deleted and I have the exact same version. This is the 2nd issue with Bitdefender in the last month or so. It's getting to the point that I may have to choose another security suite. This is ridiculous. The other issue that has happened is that scans (when they were scheduled), don't start on time unless I reboot my computer.

  • I've noticed that all my anti-virus settings get reset when I reboot my machine. Everything's fine until I switch off at night, the next day I switch back on and custom scans are gone. Guess I'll just have to wait for them to fix this...
