Samsung, Android and Google have security software on my Galaxy s22 ultra. since I use bitdefender do I need to allow the security settings be enabled? It is by McAfee.
I too have a Samsung with built-in security by McAfee that comes integrated with security settings. You can simply disable it and be safe with Bitdefender alone.

The McAfee protection integrated into Samsungs does not have WEB and Wifi protection, theft, etc... It only has protection for malicious apps.
So if you purchased BDM which is complete as @Flexx said you can deactivate the MCAfee one and only use BDM and it will be completely safe. However, if you use BDM Free version it only has protection for malicious apps and files.
