App lock malfunctioning

When I have the app lock engaged and I leave my house, when I come back I have to go into the app lock, forget my trusted wifi, then add it again. Every single time. Even if I just leave for 5 minutes to take the dogs out. Then when I'm out and want it to actually lock, it doesn't. I have uninstalled/ reinstalled numerous times and I'm just so frustrated. I have had this app for years with no issue until the last 6 months. Please help! I have a S24U, One UI version 6.1. Thank you.
