Central Control status 'at risk' no versions installed, but error 'version is already running'

I've followed the prompts to install, clicked on the .exe file and it appeared to install, but I never received the 'installed' screen or any error messages. Central Control tells me that my computer is at risk but appears unable to fix it. Status shows as 0 versions installed, but when I again attempt to install, it tells me that there is already a version running. How can I fix this?
