[resolved]Word 2011

Options

Since I installed 2012 Internet Security, this is the first time I've been on a word document.


I've tried installing and reinstalling office, I've tried installing and reinstalling the Internet Security but I'm still getting this error 8/10 when trying to save a document "Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error"


I've searched the internet, and some people pointed this to the direction of the antivirus. So I tried saving while I've had the Internet uninstalled, and it is plain sailing. I've also tried it with the On-access scanning off, and it also save very smoothly everytime.


Please fix this problem, because to be honest with the problems I've found so far this version is border on unusable!!!


First I've found the problem with the toolbar which screws with upload speed. Then find that it swas the active virus control that causes the freeze I've been getting with flash video. And now this???


P.S. My wife has no problem with the word saving problem, she's on Word 2007 though.

  • Firstly, how to check the versions?


    Secondly, I cleanly uinstall and reinstall with the "download from server application", wouldn't that way give me the latest version?


    Of course I will give it another try once I can confirm which version I'm using and make sure it's up to date, and if it still does not work, I'll come back to you guys!

    When you install BitDefender, even if you download the installation kit at that moment, you won't have the latest product updates, just those added when the kit was updated to the download location.


    That is why you need to run an update after you install Bitdefender follow by a PC restart.


    Please confirm that the issue is now resolved.

  • Well the auto update is on.


    I'm using English version of BitDefender, I'll try it again.


    Because I had to install the old word to get some work done, I should have some time later on tonight to test it out, and make sure it is with all the latest update.
