Harmless Scanning Option?

Does Bitdefender have an option to scan without deleting and instead present a list of suspicious files for the user to delete or quarantine or ignore?

    No. The default action is to delete the file. In Scan Options, you can click on the Modify button and change that default behavior to move to quarantine. From there, you can view the list of quarantined files and decide to leave them in quarantine, delete them or restore them.

    Hello guys :)


    I will have to make a correction on this.


    The default behavior is "Take proper actions".


    Under this generic name we have several routines: for file infectors, if disinfection is possible, that file will be disinfected. if not the file will be deleted.


    So it acts like this: disinfect, delete, quarantine, block. This is like a backup mechanism in case the other actions can not be performed(some rootkits are just blocked and malware removal is only available in Rescue Mode).


    You can also change these defaults settings to "Move to quarantine" from the realtime protection options.
