Hello
In the current situation, I want to to try a workaround:
Please open the main interface, navigate to the Update panel and set Auto Update to off.
After this, start again a System Scan and save the log as instructed.

Let me know if those items are flagged as Unresolved. Attach here the scan log.
Take care.0 -

I have completed the update and scan as requested. Attached is the latest scan which when completed, did not show any failed items. Also attached is the previous scan log to show that under the Antivirus Events, Virus Scan, View Log, [-]Advanced tab, it shows Input-output errors: 1000.
Because I have not used this forum before, I have attached both scans as .png files. However I keep getting an error message that- Upload failed. Please ask the administrator to check the settings and permissions. One file is 237K and the other is 3.6K. Please advise, also if .png is not correct please explain what to save them as?
Also my laptops latest scan showed 66 failed items. I am therefore in the process of update and re-scan to see if this changes.0 -

If I goto Antivirus Events, Virus Scan, View Log, [-]Advanced tab, it showed Input-output errors: 1000. Which equates to my problem of 1000 failed items. Your work round solution of switching auto update off, updating, then carrying out a re-scan, worked. Failed items went to 0 and Input-output errors went to 0.
I also tried this on my laptop and the 66 failed items went to 0. It would appear that if you are in auto pilot and select full system scan. Auto update will carry on as normal but the scan sees the downloads as suspect items, but because they are going into a Bitdefender folder it does not class them as virus, etc, hence the listing as failed items.
I don't understand why others have not had this problem or perhaps they have but are only interested in the fact that it states that they are virus free. Or perhaps they just don't read all the text that comes up after the scan is completed?0 -
Hello
A product update was released. Your build should be 16.21.0.1504(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).
In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
