Unable To Clear Av Event.

I've tried to clear the Antivirus event "Autoscan status changed". It currently is on and shows a green dot next to this event message. I've clicked all messages in the even log and even deleted them all. I've also done a reboot after this and still the single event will not clear. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for your help.

Guess no one know the answer to this one. Oh well it's a different AV suite for me when my current subscription to BD runs out. There are a lot of other AV suites out there to choose from.

  • In the previous version 2012, there was a file named history.xml located in the "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Bitdefender\Desktop\Events". Check that.

  • I'm using windows 7 and BitDefender Total Security 2013. All the multitude of problems began with the update from 2012 to 2013. I have been unable to locate history.xml file even with a detailed search of C: There are now 2 unclearable events both of which are "Autoscan status changed". I can't even mark them as read in the AV panel. I think this 2013 upgrade was a waste of my time and the source of multiple problems. I wouldn't recommend either the upgrade or even any bitdefender program anymore.

  • Hello :)

A product update was released. Your build should be 16.21.0.1504(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

Let me know if the situation is solved.
