This is helpful, but I still am confused, that if it is set to off, does it mean that BD is totally susceptible to malware attacks to tamper with BD systems ?0 -
Intrusion Detection System: It is the heuristic monitoring of the applications trying to access network services or the Internet. Which means that application running on the computer receives a score whenever they perform a action on the computer. The software is evaluated from a malware point of view and if it reaches a certain level, then it is topped as being a malware.
Just for information, read this topic IDS.
I don't whether IDS in Bitdefender blocks external intrusions made by network worms (Conficker etc) and hackers etc.0 -
