Slow Browsing On Cgi Webpage

After installing bitdefender my cgi page take a very long time to load and won't display anything before the whole page is loaded.

Usually the first part of the page will showup and the bottom part that take some time to load will apear 20 second later.

it seem to me that bitdefender prevent the page from displaying partial data because it hasn't analyse the whole page and I'm wondering if there is anyways to change this.

it's on a Dell Optiplex 960

Intel Core2 Duo E8400

4GB memory

Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit

I solved my slow browsing issues by turning "Scan SSL" off in the "Anti-Phishing" settings. I am not sure what affect this has on your security though, but you could try it.

  • SSL scan does slow down browsing a bit, further discussion on this here -

I disabled all of the function I could disable and it still does the same. But if I uninstall bitdefender it start working properly again.

I would like to solve this issue since I'm testing this antivirus prior to selling it to our customer.

I already had trouble with the IE home page always resetting to about blanck, had to boot in safe mode to change my homepage.

    Tanks again

  • Hiya again :)

I think it would be advisable now to send in a support form to Bitdefender and ask their help on this -
