Can't Stop Rescue Mode Boot
To whom it may concern.
Bitdefender rescue mode selection comes up every time I boot my computer. I want to know how to prevent my computer from continuing to boot into rescue mode. Every time I boot it goes to a screen to a screen to select between Bitdefender antivirus rescue mode or to boot Windows 7. By default it goes to Windows 7 if no selection is taken. I want to prevent this from happening, because it takes more time to boot. I don't need to be in Bitdefender rescue mode.
Windows 7 64-bit.
Bitdefender antivirus 2013
Thanks

Hello
This can be solved by using a BCD editor.
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enh...s/EasyBCD.shtml
Remove the Rescue Mode entry and confirm the changes.
The next time you open the PC, it should not appear on that menu.
Note: make sure that you remove the correct entry you won't be able to start Windows.

When I went to that site and tried to download that editor, I got the following message.Bitdefender blocked this page This page is blocked by Bitdefender Cloud protection.0 -
Hello
I checked the page and is not blocked now.
Also I created a mirror for that program:

You have here some screenshots:

Let me know if everything is OK now.

Thanks.
It wasn’t fully explained so I guessed my best to fill in the gaps. The first time I deleted the bit defender from the boot menu before figure out that I had to turn off the boot option.
I doubt I’m wording it right.
Anyway things are good for now.
Thanks for your help. Sorry for taking so long to respond.0 -
Hello
I am glad to hear that.
A product update was released and it will be installed on your machine in maximum 24 hours. Your build should be 16.25.0.1710 (please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).
In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
Should you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Have a great day!0 -
I have downloaded the BCD editor but cannot install it because I can't get into Windows. I'm permanently stuck in Rescue mode and when I go to the boot menu, there is no Boot in Windows option- as your technician told me to select. It has now been a week since I have tried to resolve this and I am beyond frustrated!
