File Vault Will Not Open

I just downloaded Bitdefender Total Security 2015. I tried to open a file vault form Total Security 2013 and it would not open. I tried to create a new file vault in Total Security 2015. The file vault created, but it would open when I clicked 'create and open.' It also would not open when I opened from the File Vault manager.
