I Think I Have A Virus That Is Blocking Bitdefender.

Options

Hello, so I think I have a virus, because I cannot turn on the following things:

- Intrusion detection system

- On-access scanning

- Active virus control

I also installed Malwarebytes that does not launch. I'll try with chameleon. And when I try to turn on those 3 things the slider instantly goes back to off. Ill attach the BitdefenderSupportTool file:

I should also mention that I have tried to scan everything (full scan) - no results...

Just tell me if it's something to worry about or just a gui bug.

    Hello OmgitsLuke,

Please uninstall Malwarebytes - and any other security programs you may be running (anti-malware, anti-adware or anti-spyware).

Then run a repair on Bitdefender. Control Panel>Programs and Features>Bitdefender 2015 - double click it and choose "Repair". Wait for it to finish and then reboot your computer.

Let us know how you get on.

Just a thought you can scan with a bitdefender rescue cd also. It take's the OS out of the equation so viruses can't hide.

Adding to the excellent advice given in the above 2 posts, you could also run a online scan from another vendors website. If needed, you could PM me, and I could offer you a few suggestions (it's against forum rules to compare, or solicit another vendors security solution(s) on the forum)
