Windows Error

When trying to install BD TS 2016 on a second machine, it goes through the download, install, blah blah blah. When it's doing the scanning phase, it eventually stops and says some windows error has occurred and closes the program.


Any thoughts?

  • The exact error during the scanning phase is this:


    "Bitdefender Installation File has stopped working


    A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."


    I can only hit the "close program" button and nothing else happens.


    I get no response from BD live chat or email.

    Please give information on your system it could help.

    I did the install three hours ago, with little trouble, but I admit it did not run smoothly as well... because I could not have a clear deinstallation of the previous BD version.


    On the french forum, with lots of details, I needed a whole hour to get to the point.


    Maybe check first if your system is clean, drivers update, no other antimalware programs, blabla.. and give information on your system.
