Does Bitdefender Total Security 2016 Do A Virus Scan While It's Installing?

I have just recently purchased Bitdefender Total Security 2016, and I would like to install it on my home PC today. I think my PC could be infected with something that my current Anti Virus hasn't picked up. Does Bitdefender do a virus scan while it's installing?

    Yes, the product scans the machine using the cloud engines. Should it detect something it will attempt to remove it, should it be unable you will be prompted with a warning.

    Depends on the situation, some threats can be removed with a simple restart others my require you to contact our support with a log from our infection diagnostic tool.
