Total Security 2017 Thinks Everything Is Ransomware
It's tagged all my streaming tools (StreamJar beta desktop app), MusicBee (music player), Snagit (during install), Discord Canary (but now works fine), and others.
Why is it tagging everything as ransomware? This does not bid well. If this isn't resolved, I will have wasted $60 on this software.

The Anti-Ransomware module flags any programs that it does not know about that try to make changes to folders that you have designated to be "protected." If the application trying to make changes is flagged by the module, then you have the option to "Allow", and from then forward, the anti-ransomware module will not flag that application because it is listed as "trusted." You can also manually add applications as "Trusted Applications."
Personally, I consider this to be a great feature of the module. It is a bit of a nuisance at first, but you gain protection against real ransomware attacks.
Have a great day.

Then could someone add StreamJar.exe to the safe list? It's an application developed by 2 guys for livestreamers on Twitch, Beam, and Hitbox. It's safe, and 100's of streamers use StreamJar.0 -
I don't see why you couldn't add it to the "Trusted Applications" list of the BD Anti-Ransomware module. Did you try?

Which I did. But what about other livestreamers that use StreamJar? It is used on Twitch and Beam.pro, both of which are growing fast.0
