bitdefender and vpn data retention laws

thinking about going vpn. Anybody know if bitdefender keeps data of user, when using their vpn?

to be more clear. One vpn provider (don't know for bitdefender) offers this:

The service is based in the British Virgin Islands, a country that has no data retention laws in place. This allows the company to adhere to a strict no logging policy as well. Your usage is never monitored and the system is simply unable to tell which websites you’ve visited and what you were doing online.

So my question is: bitdefender logs vpn data or not?

Thank you in advance.

    Is it???

Look at this quote from the BD VPN FAQ:

    Quote

    5. Will Bitdefender share my IP address and personal data shared with third parties?

No, with Bitdefender VPN your privacy is 100% safe. Nobody (advertising agencies, ISP’s, insurance companies, etc.) will have access to your online logs.

    1. They do logging!

    2. The most important party,:the government, is not named/excluded for accessing the logs.

IMO a logged VPN  is only OK for shielding off an open WIFI-connection  and in some cases to avoid geoblocking, But, illegal downloading, anonymize your controversial opinion, shopping on the 'darkweb', etc, etc.,  is not done with a logged VPN.

  • Bitdefender VPN is powerd by Hotspot Shield, a five eye country. You decide if it's best or not for you. I'm all good for now.
