Partner has updated to BitDefender version 6
When updating definitions, the following is shown in the ManagedAntiVirus.log:

2018-09-20 08:16:29.7705 18- TRACE: A def/engine update has completed.
2018-09-20 08:16:29.7705 18- TRACE: It Failed! Setting the last failure date.

Solution
The -1004 error stands for "Could not connect to Proxy or Server" or on the BitDefender Engine - File and Definition Update Servers.
BitDefender version 6 uses new URLs to download definitions
To resolve, please whitelist the following domains over port 80 and 443:
*.remote.management
*.logicnow.us
*.cdn-sw.net
*.bitdefender.net
*.bitdefender.com
*.v1.bdnsrt.org

Thanks BD. looks like you put some effort into finding all that. I also started to notice that some settings would not apply. I could set them, but they would be changed back when I looked again. I reinstalled everything and all is good now. thanks again.0
