  • seconding the question.

the support tool (supporttool.exe) apparently also has just the options to buy something or to contact support.

    Hello,

You may generate a Support Tool log as described here: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/1730/

You need to have a Central account in order to use Antivirus Free, however, in order to install the product, you need to install it from here: https://www.bitdefender.com/solutions/free.html

From My devices you can see the devices on which you have Bitdefender installed and from My Subscriptions, your products.

  • well,  https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/1730/ does work. you still need to go through the "feedback" option of the regular tool to generate a ticket first. also, who came up with the idea that free users need to use a method titled "when not installed"? I understand that free users are second-class citizens to the community, but that was just adding insult to injury ;)

    Hi Jaro,

While the kb name is somewhat unfortunate for this scenario, we commonly use it even for full product users.

Its just there as a standalone alternative for the baked-in tool on the full products. Creating the ticket is optional but I'd recommend it rather then attaching it's output here as this forum is public after all.
