Actually it was because I tried to add a folder but ATD process only apps (.exe)

Advanced Threat Defense is a Bitdefender feature that continuously monitors running processes to identify anomalies in apps behavior and correlates different suspicious behaviors to significantly improve detection, thus it looks at .exe files. The exclusion in this case would require the full path of each component - each .exe file.
The button will be grayed out when attempting to add a folder as an exception for this security module.
