Window update?

After installed the Bitdefender, I keep receiving these notifications. I believe is related to windows or team, can anyone tell me should I allow this access? Or any way can let the Bitdefender accept it if this is valid?

Btw, my windows is windows 11.

Thank you.

  • Hi Alexandru,

    Hello.

    @Alexandru_BD forgot to mention that you need to be prepared to contact Bitdefender Consumer Support. Sending them an e-mail is the easiest part of the process.

    Just follow the next steps:

    First, take screenshot(s) of the issue,

    create a log file on your Windows device using Bitdefender Support Tool, by following these steps:

    https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/1733/

    next, create a log file on your Windows device using BDsysLog, by following these steps:

    https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/1922/

    and

    finally create a connectivity log file, by following these steps:

    https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/9689/

    Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:

    https://community.bitdefender.com/en/discussion/91918/bitdefender-websites-and-bitdefender-consumer-support-contacts

    with short description of the issue.

    After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.

    Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log files you already created in the first step.

    Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.

    Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log files will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.

    Regards.

  • Hi Gjoksi,

    I just get the solution from the Technical Support team. I'm verifying this. Hope this can help me.

    Solution from the Support team:

    The pop-ups you are receiving are from one of Bitdefender Firewall's features, named the Alert mode. This feature serves the role of prompting you for permission for every connection made to and from your device by an application, regardless of its nature.

    Also, disabling this feature won't expose your device to any risk whatsoever. The Firewall will continue to block and filter out any unwanted or potentially malicious connection attempt to your system, remaining unaffected by this setting.

    Just in case you wish to continue with switching the option OFF, please follow the steps below:

    1. Open the main Bitdefender interface;

    2. Go to Protection;

    3. Under Firewall, click on Settings;

    4. In the Settings tab, disable the Alert mode option.

    Regards.

  • Thanks for sharing @Ngsy

    Let us know if you still receive these pop-ups after disabling Alert Mode.

    Cheers
