Will Parental Control Work On A Pc With One User? - 2023
A version of this question was asked in 2013 and no answer was given. It is verbatim what I am looking for so I am going to repost it here:
My PC has one user account which everyone uses. I want to restrict internet access to certain times on the day. A very simple straightforward request, but I don't see a way to do this. I go to Parental Control, click on Configure, and it brings up a browser window which wants me to create a child profile and install the application on a device.
I don't want to install the application on a different device, i don't want to create a user profile for each person, I want to do this on my PC for the common user account. I don't see any way to use parental control on the PC that Bitdefender is installed on. This can't be right.
I need some direction please. How do I do this for the PC I am using?

Hi @spenn
As the Admin, you won't be switching accounts, only monitoring the child-created account from your Central account. As long as you log into your Central account with your password and email address, you won't lock yourself out, as again, being the Admin once you're there, you're only monitoring and making settings changes as needed to a childs profile (age settings, time controls etc.) which is seperate from you.
Kind regards,
Scott

If I create the Child profile, how do I switch between that and the administrator? I don't want to have a situation where I lock myself out of my system because I am in the child profile and cannot access my controls.
