Weird AntiVirus behavior

Hi I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem as me and anyone could give be some advise. I have been writing a software product for the last 18 months and I haven't had a problem during that time. Last night I updated by BitDefender and it said that my application that I have been creating is infected. I have attached a screen shot below.

Bitdefender can't clean the file and just places it in quarantine and when I check the file with other products they say it is clean. Even when I try to compile the program from source BitDefender stops the code from compiling. The trogan is called: IL:Trojan.MSILZilla.37822.

Any one's thought would help greatly appreciated.

    Hello.

Only the anti-malware researchers at Bitdefender Labs can help you with the issue.

You should report the file(s) as false positive to Bitdefender Labs here:

You could also do the following steps:

First, take screenshot(s) of the issue,

create a log file on your Windows device using Bitdefender Support Tool, by following these steps:

    and

create a log file on your Windows device using BDsysLog, by following these steps:

Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:

with short description of the issue.

After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.

Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log files you already created in the first step.

Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.

Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log files will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.

NOTE: If any of the log file is larger than 25MB, you can upload the log file here:

After the upload is done, you will get a notification with the file's URL and then you can share the file's URL with the Bitdefender Consumer Support.

    Regards.

  • Hi Gjoksi,

Thanks for your advice, I wasn't sure what part of support to place the request but the information you have given me was very helpful. I have sent the files to the lab and I have a support call in place along with all of the supporting data that they have asked for. Yes I also believe that the issue is false positive because the file it is complaining about is a database program of my creation and does incorporate encryption. perhaps that me be the issue. We will find out when the lab takes a a look at it.

Thanks again in advance for taking a look at my issue.
