Generally, 32-bit applications can work on a 64-bit system. Most modern 64-bit operating systems, like Windows, macOS, and Linux, have backward compatibility support for running 32-bit applications.
However, if you have a 32-bit version of Bitdefender and you try to install it on a 64-bit system, it may not work as expected. It's always best to download the latest version of Bitdefender from the official website to ensure you get the correct version for your operating system.

Flexx - thank you for your answer.. Here is what I found described at the on-line store:
System Requirements:
- Supported OS: Windows 10 10.12 Sierra
- Processor Format: 32 bit
- RAM: 1 GB
- Hard Disk: 1.5 GB free space
I've looked at three different sites and the same 32 bit notice is there. I don't know, perhaps my existing version is for a 32 bit processor.

You can find out if you have the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Bitdefender installed on your PC in a couple of ways. One way is to check the installation folder, usually located in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86). If the Bitdefender folder is in Program Files (x86), you likely have the 32-bit version, while if it's in Program Files, you probably have the 64-bit version.
