Pin Numbers Are Highlighted After Pressing . . . .
I activated Bitdefender's App Lock feature and found that when I press a number, the background turns sky blue and the number displays on the screen. I activated the malware feature, and the message currently reads, “You Are Safe!” Why are the numbers highlighted and displayed after being pressed?

@Flexx The screenshot is attached. Pressing the number causes the square to turn sky blue in the background, revealing the number. Since October 30, 2024, when Bitdefender notified me that someone attempted to get into my phone five times but was unsuccessful, I have increased my malware checks. I received the address and a picture of the place where the person was when trying to log in to my Android phone, but I didn't have the feature that allows me to take a picture of unsuccessful attempts enabled. Now I am more aware and yes I have a ticket number for the incident.

Does anyone have an answer why this is happening when the app lock features is activated?

I think that's how it's supposed to work. Highlighting or changing the appearance of numbers when pressed provides immediate feedback to the user that their action (e.g., tapping) has been registered. This acts as a confirmation, reducing errors from accidental taps.

Hello.
My specs:
Samsung Galaxy A34 5G (SM-A346B/DSN)
Android 14
One UI Core 6.1
Android Security Patch Level November 1, 2024
Google Play System Update October 1, 2024
BD Mobile Security 3.3.255.2481I can confirm that this is an expected behaviour.
I just did a check on my phone and pressing the number indeed causes the square to turn sky blue in the background, so there is nothing to worry about.
Also, it seems that you have "Random keyboard" enabled, which prevents PIN reading by randomizing number position, and that is the reason why your keyboard looks like this:
4 3 9
0 6 7
1 * 8
Regards.

Yes I have random keys activated, I have a Samsung 20Plus with Android 13, I have not received 14 update yet, and I am not a fan of how this works. Why? If a keystroke malware accidently gets installed then there will be a problem😒
