Blue Screens Caused By Firewall

I have been experiencing a lot of blue screens. I had a friend of mine debug my minidump and he said that the issue was caused by BdfNdisf6.sys

Here is my debug:

Perhaps someone can elaborate and help me understand and fix this issue because I am not a fan of the blue-screen-every-40-seconds-game.

By the way, with the firewall disabled I have not had a blue screen if that helps at all. If you need me to upload a minidump, I would be more than happy, but I would need to know how to do so. So some instructions would be appreciated. Thank you for the help.

  • Hello Merritt,

It will help us if you can send us the files generated in the Minidump folder . Also, an update that solved similar issues caused by the mentioned BitDefender driver was released today. We suggest you to update your BitDefender, enable your Firewall and let us know if the same sittuation occurs.

    Thank you .

  • Same problem, reported it some days ago:

The driver file that's crashing out was updated this morning. I re-enabled my firewall about 10 minutes ago and so far no crash, but sometimes it takes 20-30 minutes to happen. Maybe try updating and see if yours is fixed, too.

  • @Merritt

A new driver was shipped via BD Update. It should fix the BSODs.

    It did. Thank you.

  • Hello,

How to download by update when the pc restart loop? No access to BitDefender.

    Thanks

Well in my case, the original install did not BSOD me. It was an update that went out a few weeks ago that started causing problems for me. You may be able to uninstall and reinstall if it's the same for you. That will skip over the bad driver that went out.

  • Thank you for your reply but in my case I'll wait for the release of a new version.

    Good day

  • So far since the update I have had zero crashes. I would like to thank everyone for their help and I'm glad everything could be figured out.
