Firewall Issue.

Hello.


I recently downloaded BitDefender 2011 Total security.


The firewall , i assume , is blocking a software called Holdem Manager which also uses something called PostgresSQL.


I have done what the Holdemanager site suggest , and that s manually allowing many .exe files , ive done that for both the Bit firewall and my windows firewall and it is still not working.


Please let me know what i should do.

    I may be forced to ask for a refund since i am not able to do what i usually do online since the firewall constantly blocks most of the stuff i try to run.

    Regarding your statement above that I highlighted in red - are you saying that you have both firewalls enabled at the same time? If so, you need to turn off (disable) the Windows Firewall. Never run 2 firewalls at the same time. Also please disable the BitDefender firewall and see if the issue still occurs.


    Last but not least also disable the Real Time Protection and test to see if the issue still occurs. Let us know if the issue still reproduce with both modules disabled.

  • I don't have TS installed on my machines, so I can't help you any further with the firewall question - sorry :(

    After disabling both firewalls, Holdem Manager started working , then when i was done , i close my laptop ( set to sleep ). I wake up the next day , both firewalls are still off but Holdem Manager was not working anymore, it was giving me the same error .


    I also noticed that my computer slowed down a lot , so did my internet ever since i installed BitDefender.


    Do you guys offer remote support through programs like Teamviewer? I think that would be the best way to solve this problem as soon as possible because this whole " wait for reply " process takes too long and i keep debating if i should be going for the refund or not since i really liked your software.


    Looking at other threads , it seems like many people are having similar problems with BD slowing down their computer. This is something i absolutely cannot have since as you might have realized already , i play online poker , so having my screen freeze for 30 seconds can cost me a lot of money.

    Yes we do offer the remote option however not for cases that can be easily resolved by following few steps to configure BitDefender correctly.


    Regarding the topics you see with people having slowdown, I would like to impress on you the fact that most of the users are having this issue due to multiple security solutions installed on their PCs.
