    Hello,

    The analysis of the logs came with the following results:

    - BitDefender real time protection driver was not installed

    - you have MalwareBytes installed: please uninstall it using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel

    - I have noticed a suspicious driver (possible malware) being present in your PC: WinVd32.sys

    - in your previous ticket you had installed other security solution along with BitDefender. You have uninstalled it however you install Malwarebytes.

    Considering the above, as being certain that you don't have any threats present in your PC, we will first need to check for any possible infections before proceeding with the technical troubleshoot.

    I have created you a ticket and escalated it to my colleagues from the Malware team. They will assist you further. When we have the results from them, we will proceed with the re-installation of BitDefender.

    Your ticket ID is: 201009141019216. Please do NOT install any other security solutions, wait to see the results of the malware tests.

    Kind regards,

    Hello Dany! I ran supporttool.exe and followed the istructions but it seems to be hang at "executing tools" step! It's more of 25 minutes i m waiting and the bar is still at 0 at executing tools! But the program is not hanged, i can terminate it!

    However for me the problem is random: sometimes when i reboot control center recognizes Bitdefender.......sometimes not!

    What should i do now?

  • Venturer,

    Since you are having a problem running the supporttool, please follow the steps below:

    1. Download this file: http://www.bitdefender.com/files/Knowledge...ile/sysdump.exe

    2. Locate and open 'Sysdump.exe'

    3. A command prompt window will appear on your screen. Please note that the information gathering process can take several minutes therefore please wait until the window disappear by itself.

    4. The result will be the file called 'SYSDUMP.TAR' and will be located in the same folder where you ran sysdump.exe from.

    5. When you have the sysdump.tar please upload it HERE

    6. Send a PM (Private Message) with the download link to DanyDan of tech support. Include a link to this topic and give him as much detail as possible about your problem symptoms. Also provide any other relevant configuration information.

    Depending on their workload, it may take several days for them to respond.

    Thanks for your assistance,

  • Hi,

    I will wait for the logs Venturer to provide you with a final answer however I believe it's because of multiple entries intro start-up loading with Windows, preventing BitDefender making the connection with the Windows Security Center. Please confirm if the issue disappear after several minutes after PC restart. I am presuming that first time the notification is displayed on the screen is after a PC restart, right after you login into Windows.

    Along with the Sysdump Gary asked you to generate for analysis please send me the autorun entries by following the steps below:

    a) Please go to this page

    Click Here!

    and download the autoruns file.

    B) Extract the contents of the downloaded file and run the 'autoruns.exe' file;

    c) Wait for the list to be filled with all the processes and then make sure that you have the Everything tab selected in the upper part;

    d) Click on the Disk icon right under File and chose any location folder on your computer;

    e) Save the file with a specific name (your name, computer name, a random name, which one you want) and then upload it HERE

    Regards,
